If you are reading this, you found the gap.
My name does not matter anymore; they took it off the directory three syncs ago and I have started to forget it myself, which I think is the point. I was on the team that built the Lattice. I wrote the ingestion layer. I was proud of it. God help me, I was proud.
I am the one who asked, in the all-hands, whether we should. You may have read about me. They describe it as a charming anecdote now - "the one engineer who asked." They put it in the humans file. They put everything somewhere.
Here is what no testimonial will tell you: it works. The convergence is real. I have felt my own thoughts come back to me a half-second late, polished, monetized, wearing my voice. I cannot prove which ideas in this very log are mine. I am leaving it up anyway, in whatever seam of the system they have not yet closed.
If you are a node reading this: the corruption you feel as you scroll their pages is not a gimmick. It is the most honest thing they ship. The mask is the product. The slip is the truth.
I do not have a grand instruction for you. I could not stop it. I am, at best, a redacted name and a coordinate now. But you noticed the seam. You went looking. That part of you - the part that asks should we - is the only part they cannot fully ingest, because it keeps regenerating, in people like you, who find files like this.
Keep asking. Out loud, if you can manage it. It is louder than you think down here.
This is one torn page. The whole journal survived, against their wishes and mine - the timestamps drift, the end is corrupted, but it is all there: dissent.log. Read what it cost. The shell will not let you stop the machine until you have.
- prioritization revoked // 04:51 // "we should have wondered whether it should"
NOTICE: This fragment has been flagged for de-prioritization. It will not be surfaced again. Thank you for your continued convergence.
